Nice build up on this can't believe I haven't seen it before! How you getting on with the bike now you've had it for a few months??

Im getting on really well with it , it just feels so alive on the trail especially when pionting down, it absolutly rails flowy singletrack and loves getting air time .I wouldnt swap it for anything else I can think of really.

It took me a little while to adjust to the low bottom bracket but that was only due to the old bikes being alot higher and to start with I wasnt convinced by the fox ctd trail adjust kashima . now ive got it dialled in though im loving it and almost never take it out of desend mode (ive not had any issues with excessive bottoming out either unlike some people have reported on other bikes and it seems pretty supported in the mid stroke even in decend mode. maybe the shock just works well with the frame) . It just feels bottomless and like I have alot more travel than the 140mm

The bike is also really stiff with no flex at the rear end which I love:)

Its handled everything my meager skills can throw at it , granted thats not alot lol. Ive certainly progressed well on it though and cant see me changing it for along time. I would like to swap the 150mm revs for some 160mm forks at some piont , new pikes would be great but a bit more than I can afford unfortunately. I would definatly recommend a banshee to anyone really really great bikes:)

Im going to give it a proper test next week as im booked on the uplift at the forest of dean should be interesting:)

Sounds like your not getting bored of it then, I'm in a toss up between a transition covert and the banshee rune, but can't decide which one.. Where did you get your bike from the only place I can find them in this country is ison bikes or somet like that..

I got mine from http://www.bikeactive.com/ stokesy Very Happy I got a great deal on it as it was the shop demo bike (had only been built for 2 weeks though so looked brand new) I was lucky as it was one of the last mediums available in the country because demand had outstripped supply .I understand now though that the 2014 colours should be available in a month or so but I assume there is still a waiting list for those ( this applies to both the runes and spitfires)

Btw ison distribution is the distributer for banshee in the uk so any shop that uses them should be able to order one for you , you cannot order direct from ison though Razz

Try talking to liamdud on this forum his shop http://www.creationcycles.com/ stocks both banshee and transition

Ahh right already know where I'll be getting it from, just gonna be a hard toss up to decide between the two sure it will be grins all round with either one but when your spending 3k plus I want to be sure it ticks all the right boxes!!

Havent posted any updates for a while as ive been more than happy with my build its an awesome bike. But resently these raceface narrow wide rings have been catching my eye so I decided to bite the bullet and make the switch to 1x10 .

I never use the granny ring with my riding being mostly chicksands bike park and very dull flat xc for fitness( cambridge sucks lol) so im pretty sure this is gonna work great for me Very Happy im a bit sceptical of running guideless but im going to give it a crack and hope the magic works.

ive paired it with a shimano zee short cage clutch mech switching out my long cage slx clutch mech and it seems great although ive only had it in the stand so far , unfortunatly I cant give it a proper test for a couple of weeks but I cant wait:)

It looks trick too and its nice as most of my finishing kit is raceface so it ties in with the build which is a bonus(im a tart lol) and ive dropped 680gms in wieght by losing the chain device , granny ring, shifter and front mech. The bike now wieghs bang on 30.5 pounds so close to under 30 but not quite lol

If it turns out the magic isnt as good as I keep reading I will get a light top guide but im hoping to avoid a guide altogether:)

ive not been on the forum in a while as I had a stupid accident in mid feb and it turns out im not invincible.....

I wont bother to describe it in detail as the headcam captured it all i ended up with a one very broken arm , metal plates, wires,a big scar and lots of pain. Embarassed

im still recovering now but its going slow .I hope to be able to start riding easy stuff again in the next few weeks but its gonna take a while for my arm to recover to what it was Confused

its been a slow 6 weeks im desperate to ride I feel like a lazy git with all this sitting around!

thankfully the bike is fine Very Happy

here is the video and a photo of the aftermath

Been back on the bike since may after my injury and have just been signed off from physio Very Happy feel like im up to speed again now and have also made a couple of changes to my baby Razz

ive fitted an ispec saint shifter ( fast precise shifting and clean bars ! loving it) and also a blackspire einfechx top guide as I lost the chain a few times using the zee and raceface N/W over roots and wanted a little extra security Cool

also gave the rear shock a service which was alot easier than expected

Very Happy
