Now then guys and girls, been a few years since i have been active on here, think I was about 16, im clocking on for 26 now 😂.
How is everyone?
Im debating on getting some padded mtb shorts, im doing roughly 30 mile a day on the old MTB for the past 2 month, mainly road miles atm purely for cardiovascular fitness, my a**e is in agony these days and wondering which ones to get, i have a very thin seat covered by an ugly pound land gel seat cover 😂.
Any of yous lot use padded mtb shorts? If so what do yous recommend.
Hopefully you's are all keeping fit and well and still using the bikes, I'll post a couple pics of the pride and joy at some point, if use wanna keep in touch outside of mtbe get in touch on IG @SteelCityKeego or Facebook John SteelCity Keegan.

Yes to the padded shorts but you should also get a decent saddle. Go to your nearest good LBS and get measured. Don't worry, it won't be the spanner monkey fondling your cheeks with a tape measure, it's heat sensitive pad you sit on that measures your sit bones. Then you can pick a saddle that's the right size. _________________ '96 Zaskar LE (now the wife's)

Charge spoon, fantastic, comfy saddle.
Or a pair of Endura six panel road shorts worn under a pair of cargo shorts. _________________ Your poison letter, your telegram, just goes to show you don't give a damn!!! |

If it fits, yes. They're no good for me though and might not be any good for the OP which is why I suggested getting measured. _________________ '96 Zaskar LE (now the wife's)

I've had a bit of fun finding a saddle that suits, but these days a lot of shops have test saddles that you can ride on for a period of time as the right one is rarely right from the first moment...
Padded shorts under some cargo shots or the like are a good option too...can't live without the padding |

Saltburn..........
You'll be getting a friggin surfboard and turning into a "Hippie" if you keep going there.
Get yourself back in "The City" and rack some plates on that deadlift bar before you grow a pony tail. _________________ Your poison letter, your telegram, just goes to show you don't give a damn!!! |
