Hi guys.

I'm after a full face helmet for under £200.
I ride a lot of XC and trail centres (Cannock, Degla, Coed-y-brenin, etc.) so haven't required one until now.
I'm at the stage where I want to start doing the occasional downhill session such as bike park wales, or stile cop. For this I think I will feel more comfortable with the added protection of a full face.

So this leads me to my query. Is it worth me getting the Bell super 2R MIPS with removable chin guard? My thoughts behind it were I could use the helmet as an XC helmet and use the chin guard on the occasional DH session.
Is this a good helmet? Will I be protected enough if I come off downhill? Or would I be better off spending my money on a standard full face helmet?

I have this helmet and can't rate it enough. I use it for serious red/black in full face mode and without for XC and standard bimbles. Best bit of kit I've bought since the bike itself.

Thanks for the reply Smile
Sounds like you're very pleased with the 2R! I think I might just go for it and try my luck as it does look like a very good helmet.
