Hi, I'm thirteen and make 100 pounds a month with paperound and i want to get a new mtb i would like it around christmas time and hopfully i cant get paid extra during summer and get a voodoo canzo for cristmas with my money which means i will have around 700 for a mtb should i get somthing othere than voodoo canzo im defo spending 700 not anything more because i will save up from then until i grow out of the bike and hopefully have at least 1000+ to spend on a better one i realy want a full susser and am aware that under 1k is not great for them but the traills i ride arent as fun(definetly doable) on a hardtail.

UPDATE:
I ended up going second hand but instead of going for the giant trance i went for a voodoo zobop already fitted with 1x 10 11t-40t drivetrain and a dropper seatpost pretty happy with it thanks everyone for your advice.

Hi George, nice to see you are prepared to work hard towards your goal of a full susser, well done.

The Canzo looks like quite good value for money, MBUK seemed to rate it quite highly.

If you become a "Fan" member of https://www.britishcycling.org.uk/membership for £22 you can get 10% discount on purchases from Halfords and Chain Reaction Cycles. This may help you get onto a better bike sooner.

You could probably pick up a second hand giant trance for around 700, but ofcourse buying used has it's perks n drawbacks, nothing wrong the canzoo, just see if you can become chummy with a good LBS, to use for some maintenance or parts if things are needed.

^^ +1 Wink

I too would go for a used full susser .. for £700 you would get SO much more bike on the second hand market, tho you would need to know a bit so you didn't get ripped Confused

Plenty of advice/knowledge on here tho to guide you through the mire Wink

Whilst he stands a chance of getting a better bike SH for the same money as new, he also runs the risk of getting sold a pup unless he knows what to look out for.

There's only so much we can do over the net, unless someone lives close enough to go and check out the bikes personally.

I rode near the college on Saturday, but not past it. I cycled to work at 6:50am and back again at 11:00am.
If it was a fat fukker in blue shorts and shirt and a red lid it was me, if it wasn't, well, it wasn't. Very Happy

Shocked Can the world survive two of me???

At 11am I was leaving Vale Park, cycling past Maccy's and turning into the housing estate just after the pedestrian crossing by Morrisons. I don't go past the college on that journey.
