Butterfly Bars

I've just put on my Saracen Kili Team Hardtail, some butterfly bars. These were on my touring bike. My question is, that if I went out with the Forum rides. Would I be the laughing stock of the pack, I do like them.

I can't see any reason why not...the people who do snigger obviously aren't mature enough to realise the benefits of multi position handlebars!!! Wink

Agman, if it improves the functionality of the bike for you, the rider, then who gives a fig!!!!

I was the only rider on Sundays Forum ride who had canti brakes, every body else was kitted out with disks, but I still got round no probs Confused

Well, what can I say about the Butterfly Bars........Excellent.

Today, did Butts Lane from Guisborough over to Commondale via Westworth Wood and Quaker's Causeway. no fatigue in the old hands Very Happy

I bet it was wet going through Westworth Woods and across the Qauseway, I always find that end of Guisborough Woods very wet, regardless of time of year.

Yes, Gunner. Very wet and cakey. Most of the water has drained off. The Butts Lane section has you ascent up to the left of old quarry is very very wet.

Me and my mate decided to go straight up very steeply through the wood, carrying the bikes, This is the short-cut to the top, also most of the wood from the Cleveland Way to Westworth Wood is felled. That was also bad trying to get across, due to the large tractor tyre markings. The section between Westworth Wood to the Quaker's Causeway was also wet, but not bad. Once we got onto the Quaker's Causeway to Brown Hill, it was firm enough to ride on.

Nevertheless, navigation was spot on and GPS kept us on course and a good day it was.
