Thought I'd stick some new pics up as the bike is slightly different from when first built.

Now has a different saddle and seatpost, has a steering stack and have stuck a 2.4 Rubber Queen on the rear because the drag from the Hans Dampf trailstar was killing me. Also a non-visible change is, I've put a volume spacer in the shock.

All in all, I'm loving this bike more than ever at the minute.

Got some Renthal fatbars here which I'm tempted to stick on but not sure if the colour would work or not, what do you guys think?. Also can't decide whether to swap the brakes to saints, swap the cranks to SLX and maybe stick a snow camo SDG i-beam saddle and post on, again not sure if the saddle would look right. Do you guys think Saint brakes will be too much?

Awesome looking machine. What about XT brakes, saint may be a bit overkill? I love my XT's Smile

Thanks.

I'm only thinking of using Saint brakes because I already have them. Going down to 1 bike for now so it'll get used for DH as well as general riding. Main reasons I haven't already swapped them is my Formula Mega's are decent brakes and theey'd disturb my colour scheme lol! Embarassed Laughing

If you already have them, stick them on and see how you get on with them. Easy enough to change back Wink

Stunning mate Laughing

Get the Renthal bars on - awesome bars and won't look outta place as they'll match your stanchions and once grips, brakes, shifters and stem are all on then everything will tie in nicely...

It's surprisingly really good. Obviously it's no short travel ht but it pedals well with hardly any pedal bob and can climb well providing that you stay sat down and spin your way up hills. Considering I've got it built up with huge and grippy tyres and is quite a heavy build considering other Coverts, it really does exceed all my expectations and like you said loves being hammered down, and loves all fun sections of trails/singletracks. Modern day geo is unbelievable, which is why it's possible to have such an aggressive bike as a do it all bike!

Thanks mate.

Think I'll give the other bits a try and see what I think, then upload some pics too. All in all, I don't really want to add too much weight to it and I'd rather it ride better than just look better.
