Now that the night's are drawing out abit and spring will be on us before we know it, time to make a few small alterations.

Starting with these. Ok I know it's not really thread worthy, but the place been a little quiet recently, so can't hurt.

What can I say? (well not too much cos I've not ridden them yet) but they do noticeably feel more comfortable than my Peaty's . . . I love the little flange, and also the fact that there's no bolt on the outter edge. (Had problems with outter palm pressing against that on old grips) I know, minor niggle, but any little thing is a hindrance when you're trying to rip a trail.

Just from the static test I'd give them a solid 9/10. Wonder how they'll do over distance.

I got the soft/thin compound.

Also I was in Tredz earlier. Bought some Endura MT500 gloves.
After purchasing on closer inspection of the packaging it says they're women's gloves. lol (long finger) In the sale £19.99

Don't know what that says about my hands but TBH they fit and feel great lol

Just bought me a set of these for the Virtue, for those off-road days when the Halos wont cut it and the Ice Spikers are OTT

http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/geax-barro-mountain-mtb-tyre/rp-pro d151117

For £9.99 each they are worth a punt. I'm not paying Maxxis money for something I'm only going to be using a few times a year

Edit

Well I got them back and they are OK for what I could tell in such muddy conditions

this was pushing it a bit though - but they did cope rather well

Stupidly quiet on tarmac - spookily so - for something with such an agressive tread.

They are possibly the narrowest looking 2.3 tyres I have ever seen though.

They look the same with as my Fire XC Pro 2.1s and are dwarfed by my rear 2.1 Ice Spiker Pro Evo
