Cheersmate! Once the reverb is in and the forks and rearshock have been serviced, its a case of putting it all back together really.
Going to get an SLX chainset for it though to replace the race face one.... I think (hope!) thats it for now. Just new gear cable inners and set it up - then enjoy it!

Well the fork and shock service kits came this morning, so I need to set myself a few hours aside (when I get time!!) to strip those and do some pics!

Will you be selling your Race Face chainset? May be interested in buying if so?

If you are, PM me some details please?

Right then!! Took it to the shop this morning for the reverb to be fitted, then headed off into nottingham to buy some trainers, go maccy D's and generaly loaf about!!
Got home and decided that I better give the wheels a clean, having neglected them too whilst being in my sick period over christmas following an op!!

To be perfectly honest the wheels are true as anything (amazing really, as fatboy here has all the grace of a baby elephant in wellies!!) and the hubs are running as sweet as they should be at six months old.
As they don't need any attention, I'm going to leave them until later this year - but may do a Hope hub service thread when they need it if the interest is there!

Just Xlite Mucoff, a gear brush and a bucket of warm soapy water - and the cassette was pretty rank when I started! I think the key is letting the mucoff work before you scrub it off.

Incidentally, I think my gear brush is in need of replacing - about 15 years old and use it for the bike and the sidewalls of the cars tyres!

Which Bike shop you using bud? there is a plethora of them in ly-ses-ter

Ian at Julies is brilliant, so much experience. Paul at naked bikes is very helpful and really knows his onions, looking after the race team like he does. Then there is webos on the welford road or that one at syston. or then again the crappy Raleigh shop in thurmaston (if its still there) and i wont mention two Halrauds
