So for those who have skinny tyres this weekend was Global fat bike day so those with the fatter tyres meet up and ride where normal bikes only dream of . Friday night we decided to camp on Newborough beach or rather the forest there. Plenty of drinks followed by a amazing fire and a cracking nights sleep on the soft ground. I awoke to cries to get the hell out of bed and shift my a**e. I crawled out of the tent feeling like death warmed up but soon came around with the view on this beautiful day. WE rode back to the car park and meet up with a few more fatties and went for a a mile spin on this amazing welsh coast line. What a amazing day and can't wait to do it again soon
A short video of the day.

looks fab, i presume that is Newborough Anglesey with the rain removed.
question;
Doesn't that sand knacker up your bikes.? Mrs Magnus and I rode on a beach in Norfolk once and within 12 miles everything was grinding away and I ended up having to fit chains and chain wheels _________________ This isn't a Paunch its a fuel tank for a Marin

If you use dry lube on the chain the sand will pretty much come off when you wash you bike which I do once I get home. That said I would not use a full sus bike on a beach. Glad you enjoyed the vid it was a great day |

If I ever feel the highly unlikely notion of riding in sand I'll give a fat bike some fleeting thought.
Up until then I'll hit the trails where Mountain Bikes should be. _________________ Dropper Posts Are For The Butt Hurt. |

Should look at other vids. Fat bikes are not just for sand Although not a fan of man made trails I prefer getting to the places most bikers don't go and the Fatty is perfect for that as well. Happy trails buddy |
