Hoping to pick up my ride this weekend. As the title says I'm looking for a decent pair of gloves and a helmet that doesn't make me look like a complete goon!
Cost wise £75-ish for both. (reasonable?)
Recommendations please.

Thanks in advance

Joe

Fox flux, 661 Recon, Urge, Giro Feature, Troy A1.

Any gloves will do, whatever colour/price takes your fancy.

As malamute says, i don't think there's a lot in the gloves - however I would recommend these:

http://www.westbrookcycles.co.uk/clothing-c7/gloves-c45/endura-rapido- cycling-mitts-p2119

They're maybe not going to keep your pinkies snug in winter, but for summer riding and shock absorbtion they're absolutely spot on. For the first time this weekend I went for a ride without them (accidentally) and was regretting it by mile #2. By the time I had finished my ride my hands were in agony! I'll never be forgetting them again!

Plus, for <£14 you can't go wrong!

Depends on what type of evening gown you will be wearing and if its the opera
or a ball you will be attending.

I can highly recommend the 661 Recon helmet. It can be picked up brand new and delivered for £48.
As for the gloves I bought a pair of Troy Lee Design jobbies. Make sure you go for a pair that velcro's up round the wrist for a nice tight fit

Giro Hex or Fox Flux.

Giro Hex was always the least goon like looking one for me.

I've been looking at the 661 Recon, Catlike Leaf or Giro Hex for my next lid, and was wondering how they compare to each other.
