Payday looms and already my cash is burning a proverbial hole in my pocket.

I've pretty much decided on this MRP chain guide

http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=61123

But can't decide if it'd look better in black or white.

Here's a pic of the bike it's going on.

OR is there a better one out there for me? Any suggestions.

Has to be

- ISCG old
- 32-36t
- Taco preferred
- split upper guide (i.e. chain goes through, not against)

Cheers Very Happy

Oh and I was going to go second hand but the nobheads on PB want about as much for their f***ed ones that people do for new uns! Rolling Eyes

Not the same model, but it will give you an idea mate!

Or you could get that one. MRP G3. They do a mini for 32-36T or Mega for 36-40T. ISCG old or new or even BB!

Nice looking bike Cool

You could wait, save your money until the new chain rings designed not to drop the chain become more popular?

That's what I was thinking - black is stealh Wink you got the G2 Ras?

EDIT> Cheers Ness, that looks really nice, I think a G3 is slightly out of my price range. White really suits your bike as well but mine's got plenty of white on it alreadys. Very Happy

I'd say white.. goes better with the blue chainring.
I've had a g2 on my last 2 bikes and been happy with them. Just remember to clean the sprockety thing from time to time. Was just wondering if chain guides with the tensioner create much friction meaning you need slightly more energy to pedal?

Cheers fella, know what you mean. My frame is stealth though so wanted some contrast! Cool

It was stupidly expensive for what it is, but it was my pressie to myself for giving up smoking last November and not spending 45 quid a week on fags!!

That's how I justify the upgrades now. Saddle and grips was 1 week not smoking. Dropper post was 3 weeks with no fags etc etc Laughing Laughing

I've tried loads of times and failed miserably. Really easy this time. Confused

Dunno how you manage to smoke and ride. My lungs used to give in really quickly, now it's my legs that get f***ed first!! Makes me wonder how I used to manage.

tbh, I don't feel it in my chest that much, mostly legs.

I do only smoke crack though so maybe this explains it Laughing
