Hi,
today i've participated in race on Elite trainers (Real Turbo Mum or sth - great devices!) however i got my a$$ kicked big time. Winner had time of 8:11 on 5 km / 550 ft climb course, i had 11:30 and was next-to-last.
i'm a bit heavy (not fat, i do a lot of weight/circuit training so i have a big muscle mass) and weight about 190 lbs, guy who won was ~150 pound.

i need to improve results. i know i have to trim weight and lose a bit of muscle too, but how to do it without losing too much power?

if anyone interested.
i changed a bit my training regime.
i've limited time spent on indoor cycling to max 4 hours per week (1x2h , 2x1h interval), started walking on treadmill with max incline + also added kettlebell workout as an interval / cardio.
i didn't lose much weight but i got a major improvement on Cooper's test (before: 2,82 km / 12 min now: 2,99 km / 12 min running) and hopefully it wll translate to results on a bike:)
