Considered it, but didn't know if I would be working or not. Would like to give one of these events a go, the Lakeland one that took place late last year looked an interesting route.

You should try one gunner, it was a really good day on the bike.

I was totally unprepared for the sheer scale of the parking field and the number of cars Shocked

It all seemed pretty well organised, the signing on was well staffed so no real wait to get a number and they were setting people off in groups of about 20 with a few mins between groups.

I stopped at every feed station but still managed to post a reasonable time around the course, official time was 4:22 and according to Strava that put me in 9th on the day.
