This is my Cube Ltd Comp 2011. I've made a few upgrades but there's still plenty that I want to do when funds allow. The current spec is -

-Frame - Cube Ltd Comp 2011
-Headset - FSA Integrated
-Forks - Rockshox Tora 100mm
-Cranks - Shimano (unknown) 24/32/42t
-Shifters - Shimano SLX 3x10
-Rear Derailleur - Shimano XT Deore
-Front Derailleur - Shimano XT Deore
-Chain - KMC x10 L (Gold)
-Cassette - Shimano (unknown) 11-34t
Wheels - ZTR Crest on Red Hope Pro 2 Hubs with DT double butted spokes, red nipples and Red Salsa QR skewers
-Tyres - Bontrager Mud-X (tubless) 2.0 front and 1.8 rear
-Brakes - Shimano M445
-Rotors - Superstar Red floating rotors, 180mm front and 160mm rear
-Bars - Easton EA30
-Stem - Funn Arrow Head
-Grips - ODI Troy Lee Design
-Seatpost - RFR Comp double bolt
-Seatpost Clamp - Salsa QR
-Saddle - RFR
-Pedals - Shimano M520

Eventually I want either full XT, XTR or X0 drivetrain, and some air forks probably Fox or Rockshox Sids. I do have a spare set of SLX cranks but I'm not sure if they'll be heavier or not than my current ones.

Pics (will add more soon)

Thanks Carl. Very Happy

Bling is my thing when it comes to bikes, I'm not into personal bling so just go mad for it on my bikes. Laughing

Cracking looking. I want to upgrade my Cube too but I keep thinking where do I upgrade. Other than the contact points ( pedals and grips - happy with the saddle) I dont know where to start Embarassed

What difference does a good crankset make?

Thanks mate. Very Happy

TBH the only advantage of a better crankset (as far as I know) is weight saving and strength, there could be other advantages but that's all I know.

The best upgrades you can make, depending on which Cube you have and what kit that's already on it, are wheels, tyres, forks, derailleurs and shifters. They'll give you the best weight saving and performance.

I have the Ltd Pro. Really impressed with the Manitou Minute forks and wouldnt bother changing at the mo. Wheels yip - could see them getting changed for others. Has the SLX Shifters, front derailler and XT rear so they'd stay. Has a Shimano Crankset but its not of any named line so it could change that. Other 'lower end' gear Ive noticed is the brakes Rolling Eyes Its the money components Laughing

Oh and I deffo need new lock on grips Very Happy
