Hi everyone I am currently looking to purchase my first mtb. I like the look off the CUBE Ltd race / sl 2x but can't find many reviews on the models so was hoping for some advice on these or other models around the same price max £1300
Cheers .

Hi mate, welcome Very Happy

That is a really nice bike and well equipped .. I was lookin at the carbon one last year as a possible replacement for both the Trek and my Specialized road mtb, but decided to keep the Trek in the end

The only thing I'm not keen on is PF bottom brackets if I'm honest Confused ... I like working on my bikes, and PF seems too much of a faff to me compared to good old threads Wink ... tho it prob wouldn't be a deal breaker tbh

Until you're riding down trails and all you can hear is your bottom bracket squeeking under tension Smile Smile

Cheers for the reply so you would say it's a good bike for the money and for a complete novice lol.
Or are there any better for the same price bracket.

All I would say, is that you have a healthy budget for a HT, and yes, there may be slightly better bikes out there for the money, but experienced MTBers tend to know exactly what they want and need from a bike, so if you are a noob, I would suggest popping to a couple of the big bike stores like Evans or Leisure Lakes that carry a lot of stock, and have a good look round, possibly test anything you like the look of .. then find it cheaper online Laughing Wink

Also, be honest with yourself as to where you will be mainly riding, this will determine if your need for a HT is the right choice, or should you spend a bit more and find a FS to future proof your riding ?

Hi thanks for the reply I will mostly be riding meadow trails and hopefully a few nice cross country don't really want to up the budget due to needing to get locks helmet ECT so think a full sus would be a waste on me .

No such thing as a stupid question my friend Wink

PF .. I meant press fit bottom bracket .. and no shouldn't cause you concern, I just find threaded bb's easier to swap when they fail, and more choice .. but that's just my view Wink
