I was wondering what the best meal would be to eat after a enduring workout with heavy lifting? I'm looking to gain some muscle mass and put on some pounds. I have been told bananas with peanut butter is a great snack, if anyone else has any recipes please let me know!

Surely the best post workout meal would be higher in protein than what your are suggesting if the intention is to increase lean mass.

I'm no expert but I would rather go for something egg based as they contain all essential amino acids or perhaps chicken with some carbohydrate source such as rice or boiled new potatoes.

Wouldn't bananas and peanut butter be more likely to replace lost energy stores than assist in feeding the muscle Question
