Sorry to resurrect but VERY VERY nice!

I've been away for a bit and haven't been on here... looks awesome mate, you totally deserved it. What happened to Canyon Nerves being the best value for money and all that though?

Looks really nice! Just one thing I'd recommend, put something on the end of the bars because those hard plastic/metal lock on grips will slide off pretty much any surface you lean them on.

I bet you love the formula brakes!

It's not like the Spicy wasn't bad value! I got it for 1600 and it's just a super composed, do anything bike. The frame is just top notch and I knew it was going to be awesome after a 5/5 review by mbuk. Nothing Canyon make would touch this at the price I paid for it.

The Formula brakes are sweet but I'll need some bigger rotors for the Alps. Just for heat dispersion.

Wow that IS a bargain! How old and was it new or secondhand?

Especially like the 36s on that... You can definitely take some hits with those.

The spec list says 180 but the photos look more like a 160 on the front. What were you planning on putting on... A 203!?

Brand spanking new!

The 36s are great, they're being hucked off some big stuff now and handle it all admirably.

It's got 180mm front and rear but I'll be putting on a 203mm for the Alps, some Dual ply tyres.

1X10 and a Reverb are even more on the want list than ever before.

hmmm... Straitline Silent Guide and Renthal Chainring will cost about 135 and less when I give Si Paton a call. I might not bother with 10 speed for a bit and just get the single ring done first because the chain dropping is really pissing me off now! Why doe everything cost money?! Godammit Laughing

It's now some sporting some lovely ODI Troy Lee Designs grips in the rather fetching red and black. The little stall just by the car at the Mini DH made me, honest! Laughing

I get to join the ODI TLD club and I've fitted them the right way round, honest Wink
