Is it possible to fart while sitting down riding? I always have to stand up when I want to let a little bubble out.
Personally I think the task is impossible.

Farting can be done sitting down, but depends on the type of seat, seat angle and height. Also slightly more, how can I put it.... pressure is needed and can result in a very fine line between a botty burp and muccy shorts and saddle. _________________ Dazza Cox

Possibly one of the greatest threads ever!
Fortunately I have a Troy lee designs saddle which has a little v at the back allowing the toxic air to escape! I tend to be quite flatulent which isn't a great trait but I'm he to suffer any problems on the saddle, or in my shorts! |

I gently put my weight onto my right bottom bone, I lift my left a little and out it comes, no problem.
I try not to though if at all possible for the same reason as darren.cox22 mentions, it could just be a sweaty crack or it could be something else, its hard to tell when you ass is numb after a long ride. _________________ Scott Aspect, Garmin Edge 200, Superstar Grips, Wellgo V8, Superstar Seatclamp & Skewers.

Its all a matter of timing! I find it best to time it between the up and down strokes of the peddles i.e. when both peddles are in the horizontal position but if you do happen to let it go whilst the pedals are in rotation you get the vibrato affect zzz zzz zzz zzz! And has caused a little squirt due to not being in total control of the sphincter.
But I prefer to be out the saddle to let rip at least it gives the bloke behind a bit of warning, unlike Suggs who I forgot was there and was so close to me he got the lot straight in the gob! _________________ *Carbon On One 456 project FINISHED,Yipee-i-ay* |

i always find the funniest thing is to wait untill your mate gets right up your chuff on some single track/ rip in the woods ect then let it blow so they have to ride through it. i think its selfish not to share personally. ask si, stokesy and the lads pmsl.
also louder the better as saves having a bell on the bike.
