Hello all,

My mate Tony and me are part of a two night boozing session in Scarborough next week (pass the Asparin) To blow the cobwebs we're planning a ride in the area on Friday - can anyone suggest somewhere or fancy tagging along Question

We've been to Dalby a few times (went last week in fact!) so would prefer somewhere new if poss

Thanks for any help Exclamation Exclamation

You could have a look at this Forum Route from our OS ROUTES page;

http://www.mtbe.co.uk/content/data/routes/os/LevishamNYMROS.jpg

Don't know if that is close enough for you Wink

See also the text guide for the map.

Alternatively you could always look at riding the old railway route from Scarborough to Whitby, I've heard that's quite pleasant and not too demanding if your hung over, then maybe an alternative way back to Scarborough, consulting your O.S. Map.

Or you could be a bit "different" and seek out some "alternative" riding in Scarborough, there's lots of hilly bits between the North and South bay, with lots of steps, cliff paths, tarmac paths, etc. etc., that can keep you "occupied" if you know what I mean, and at least your never far from the ice cream and waffles.

Urban street riding they'd probably call it in the States Wink

Dave, you could also try looking here, there seem to be some routes around that area such as this;

http://www.bikeradar.com/routes/?bpath=maps%2Fbike-path%2FScarborough- Harwood-Dale

More to be found here:

http://www.bikeradar.com/routes/?srchkey=scarborough&country=253&regio n=5392&is=&isnot=&x=102&y=4&run=listpaths

If the maps don't display just generate a key from Google, it's very straightforward Wink

Cheers lads, much appreciated - I'll have a look at those links. I hadn't thought about the urban stuff - 40 year old in a bandana and a pair of Vans??? Might be the new look.... Shocked

After all this, will probably drink too much and spend all day watching ladies on the Prom Twisted Evil
