What tyres have you got on at the moment Greg Question

I'm a big fan of my Cinder's regardless of the trail condition, wet or dry, they do a really fantastic job........

And to be quite honest I find the conditions change that frequently, and there's always places that need "mud" tyres, i.e. the Westworth end of Guissy Woods etc.,

I was toying with the idea of doing the same Greg....was on a ride last night around Wynyard and Thorpe Thewles and was thinking of putting my "summer" tyres on....a pair of Hutchison Bulldogs, anyway we got about 6 miles into the ride and I'm glad I chose to keep the Conti verticals on as it was boggy and the going was pretty rough.

So to answer your question.....although it's getting warmer there are still some boggy bits about!!! Stick with the "mud pluggers" for the mo I'd say!!

I'm running trailraker 2.1's at the mo, and I must admit I ran them all year, last year.

I think I may keep em on for a while yet....

Racing Ralph rear/ Nobby Nic front

Fast rolling and surprisingly grippy on the rear, front washes out a bit too easily in the wet, might try something else up there.

Was looking at trying some schwalbe tyres myself dont know if they are the tyre for the moment though, do you think of them looking at there website looking at the little alberts.

Also the Bonty Mud-x tyres always get good reviews even for all year round use.

What puts me off those tyres Goldgpr, is this little peice of text,

"Little Albert doesn’t have the large volume of its big brothers, but it’s small and light the way racers like it. "

I find there to be a world of difference between what racers like, and what works for the recreational rider Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes
I also just don't like the look of them for functionality in this area, but that's just my opinion.......

Bonty's Mud XC seem fine though Wink

I use Panaracer Fire Xc Pro's (2.1) and Conti Vertical or Gravity (2.3). I've also some Maxxis High Rollers and Lopez Bling Bling's for Alpine stuff or trips to Scotland and Wales - but they're absolute killers for XC rides Embarassed Embarassed

The Continentals are probably the best all-round tyres - cheap and pretty grippy all year round.

However.....was also wondering about using a tyre with less tread for the summer months - any ideas out there???
