I've had a piece of reliable info that Nevisport in Middlesbrough is shutting it's doors!!!

So cheap outdoor clothing abound!!!

Shame, another nail in the coffin of specialist shops in the area.

It's hardly like there's even a decent bike shop in Middlesbrough, never mind specialist Outdoor dealership. We will be reduced to buying "Peter Storm" cagoules from Famous Army Stores, renowned for the waterproof capability and breathability!!!

Hope theyre not closing down, that puts the grand total of outdoor based shops in the area to a lovely 0 as far as I can tell.....but then again I suppose there might not be the business for a shop like Nevisport in Middlesbrough.

Fine, there is Millets but they dont sell really good snowboarding gloves or thermal gear (did see any last time I was in). And now that Adrenalin has gone too that puts the nearest places for snowboarding gear at either Leeds or Newcastle.....unless there is something nearer?

There is a pretty good outdoor shop in Guisborough, tucked down a little side street just of the main High Street. I cant remember the name of it at the moment, but it's just behind the Post Office down past that really good bookshop. They seem to be pretty specialist in outdoor gear, so maybe no need at all to go so far as Newcastle or Leeds. Wink

I passed Nevissport today and like Denny said, all the windows are covered with big signs saying "everything must go", and such like.

Go and grab yourself some bargains I say!!!!!!!

Passed Nevisport again today, "everything must go" posters are all down, replaced with "SALE" posters, and shop looks like it is trading normally.

Confused Confused
