If you don't feel it's right then you are by well within your right to bring this up to the shop!

My brakes sometimes squeal when wet or dirt has got to the rotors it's quite a common thing.

But where is this vibration?

Is it at speed as if the wheel isn't true or what?

Nice bike by the way.

Cheers mate Laughing

I could stand with the squeal mate i really could, im not that anal lol ..

It is a full on vibration, coming down from about 10mph + while gripping at about 60-70% on the brakes ..

Thing is, i'm not experienced enough to tell you whether it feels wheel related, am assuming as its only when applying to brake.. In a car, i could tell you no problem lol ..

HOWEVER !!! As i've been writting, i have just had a phone call from the LBS and they've said that they have replaced with Shimao deores! Whether thats just the rotor or whole set up im not sure but either way at a zero cost to me im well happy at their customer service !

If its on the front brake only it could mean the headset/forks havesome play, hold the front brake and see if the bike rocks back and forth.

As research had suggested, the avids are crap. Should've listened to the reviews that I've read. But didn't.

LBS swapped them out with deores on Friday. No questioning, wasn't even a suggestion by me. They just did it. With no expense to me. Couldn't ask for better service.

Although I will note, the fact that they did it without question says that they have had previous issues with them.

The deores aren't bedded in yet, was away at a car show this weekend so haven't had a chance to ride it proper. But the little I have ridden it, I'm over the moon with them.

Great brakes for anyone that didn't already know Wink
