Don't worry about the speed, Ashley. I'm happy to ride at any pace I'm able to.
Looking suave and pro is the name of the game. If we're passed by anyone we'll tell them that it's a recovery day after Monday's 120 miler! : _________________ At my age, I should know better! |

Steve, can we reschedule to Wednesday? The other half was meant to be going away with the boys today but is going tomorrow afternoon now, so better spend some time with her and the boys before they go for a week?
Let me know.
Cheers. Ash |

OK, can do. Same time and place (10:00 at The Sun, Windlesham) but one day later.
Anyone else car to join this inaugural southern road run? _________________ At my age, I should know better! |

We're Off!
The 'Southern MTBE Road Ride' section kicked off today with Ashley and I. A pleasantly dry and sunny day and we had a nice ride about around Sunningdale, Ascot, Winkfield, Moss End, Billingbear (for tea and cakies), Dinton, Winnersh, Arborfield, Swallowfield, Wellington, Beech Hill, Stratfield Saye, Mattingley, Dipley, Hartley Wintney and Camberley.
Minimal encounter with traffic lunatics and great chatting away. Ashley and I decided that it was worthwhile are am now looking for other southern road riders, either living here at present or prepared to re-locate just to be part of this exclusive ride! _________________ At my age, I should know better! |

Brilliant stuff, saw that Ashley had done a "good" distance earlier when I looked on Strava, hadn't realised that it was this, looked like a great effort from him, and a good few PR's on Strava too.
Well done to the both of you, hopefully more riders might come out of the woodwork.

I should be OK but possibly a bit worse for wear after the first HADW training run on Tuesday night. These are generally a bit of a tear-up but hopefully I'll survive for Wednesday.
Ash, would it be easier for you if we met at (say) Fairoaks Airport? Perhaps a run up to Manor Farm Tea Rooms at Seale would be nice.
... all we need is a few more volunteers. _________________ At my age, I should know better! |

No problem, Ash. I'm happy to go as and when you can.
I'm hoping that Nick may be able to join us soon ... _________________ At my age, I should know better! |
