Got myself a bike after a long break (like 15 years) & loving every minute of it.

Felt Surplus70

Haven't done anything to it as yet, but I plan on changing the pedals & fitting a QR seat clamp this week.

Welcome back to MTB.

Nice to see you went for a Felt, which is a brand you don't see much of, but are decent quality bikes.

I 'may' be a little biased Wink

Cheers. The bike felt right (pardon the pun).

Thanks guys. Any suggestion on what flat pedals for @ £40-50?
I was looking at Superstar Nano X, Nukeproof Electron & Crank Bros 5050.

Then the important one...

Colour scheme. Do I go blue on the blue, or should it be red or yellow? Choices! Lol

Funny enough, I've been considering white.
It would mean that if I do a fork upgrade in a few years time, there's a choice of good white forks. Smile

There certainly are. I am resisting (and not very well) the temptation to replace mine on the GT for white ones.

I shouldn't though - I've already blown £340 on a new wheelset for it, plus some other bling and I really must get the Virtue finished this year. Rolling Eyes

After playing about with photoshop, I went with blue Nukeproof Electrons.
I was going to buy bar stops & a QR seat clamp in blue, but as I'll be changing to a dropper post, I just got a Specialised QR in black for a tenner & leaving the bar ends just now as I'll likely change the bar & grips in about 6 months or so.

I got a Topeak bracket & case for my iPhone. I like that it replaces the stem cap as opposed to cable tie like many others. only downside with the waterproof version is it can be tricky trying to get it to recognise your thumb. I got round the issue by scanning my index finger & using the phone on landscape.

I bought one of these, which has the added bonus of storage.

I don't use the fingerprint thing though, and when out on long rides, set the phone up not to lock.

At the moment, I have a toolkit and spare tube in there, but in the winter I plan to keep the batteries for my Solarstorm lights in there

My Mrs has a similar one on her bike. Very handy for storage.
I found that if you turn off the lock, all the cards disappear from Apple Pay. I spent 3 days having to go back to using a card! Imagine the embarrassment. Embarassed
