Ok maybe santa might be bringing me a dropper post, but I have to choose and have been told not to spend loads.
Been looking on wiggle as a mate gets an awesome discount for me but I'm confused
So if the cable comes out the base of the post will this be no good for a frame with no internal routing
Are the cheap ones worth it? I don't ride loads n loads but I do think I will benefit from one.
Any advise or pointer?

Yes mate, if the cable comes out of the bottom of the post it's internal cable routing only. Maybe have a look at the Funn UpDown dropper?

Giant Contact Switch. Try Winstanley for a good deal.

Or do what I did and persuade the long haired bank manager to buy you a new bike with a dropper fitted... Very Happy

I would maybe suggest going half each and getting a Reverb if you can. They seem to be the standard, although a lot of companies making equally if not better ones, but you know where you are with the Sram one.

So would a reverb for £190 be considered a good deal

You could have always saved yourself £190 and not get one.
I paid a good deal more for mine and sold it not so long after.
Totally unnecessary bit of kit.

Didn't get one in the end as I don't actually ride enough to warrant it
