I had a chance to properly test out my xmas present last weekend in a very wet and muddy ride in the Forest of Dean.

The jacket is superb, a nice weight when on, has a great cut and is packed with loads of cool little features. It has rubberised grippers on the shoulders to stop your pack from slipping, huge pit vents with double zips so you can set just how much ventilation you want, all the pockets are mesh lined so you can open them up as additional ventilation if you are really hot. The hood is fully adjustable and big enough to go over a Super 2R helmet. The chest pocket is designed to keep your phone dry and has a neat little glasses / goggle cleaner too.

The weather was atrocious, heavy rain / sleet and the trails were very puddled and quite sloppy in places, my hands and legs were absolutely soaked through by the end of the ride but my body was bone dry. I wasn't even that sweaty despite some fairly hefty climbs and the jacket definitely didn't have that 'Bin Bag' feeling that some cycling waterproofs have.

It's not a cheap jacket though (the cheapest I have seen it online is £170!) but imo you do get what you pay for in this case. If you ride all year round, rain or shine then it is a very good investment and highly recommended by me.

Cheers

I need to replace my ageing Endura Gridlock one - for something better.

That looks a candidate

Thanks for that review. Wink

I'm after a decent jacket and this sounds like it might fit the bill, will have to have a look at one.

Yes the sizing is spot on, I checked their sizing guide and it fits perfectly.

I'd still recommend trying one on though, it's a lot of cash...
