I find the Auto Glym motorcycle cleaner awesome, halfords always seem to have car cleaning stuff on 3 for 2 as well.

Seriously give it a go instead of muc off and see which you think is best then.

Auto Glym Resin polish isn't much cop, TBH. Leave a chalky residue.

The best car polish (apart from ultra-expensive ones) is made 2 miles from here.

Neal's Magic Polish FTW!! Very Happy

No im not on about polish, waste of time polishing a MTB anyway imo.

This is the stuff i ment, its the same spray on rinse off idea as muc off but it actually works really well.

http://www.autoglym.com/enGB/product-proddetail.asp?v06VQ=IH&Range=2

I normally hose it down to get the lumps off then cover it in that stuff let it sit while i faff with stuff for a few mins, give it a rub over with a long bristle brush to get in the nooks and then hose off. Bike looks new afterward, bit of oil on the chain and its good to go.
(note: open ended hose only, to avoid knackering bearings)

l would not say it a waste of time polishing your mtb you would polish your car so why not your bike plus the fact it cost that much to buy so why not look after it

Ah, but the difference is that with a car, you probably don't go flying up and down muddy or dusty hills for fun. Cool

Yes, of course, wash and maintain it but again, unlike a car that has most of the drive covered, all of the drive on a bike is exposed and as such, is more in need of cleaning and re-lubeing.
