Don't worry John, you'll have no problem if you ride like you did today, I'm pretty sure it will be Simon who'll be showing us up if he comes along. Laughing

Yes, it was a good session. I ended up getting 120km by the time I got home as I went the long way round as it was such a nice day. Oh yes, I was also looking for that posing get in the Giant kit so that I could give him another pasting. Thanks to Gunner for softening him a bit for me Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

Going out again with the missus now. Can't really be arsed but probably better not to say no.

Anyone fancy next Sunday?

Glad you liked it, Simon. This is "another" of my favourite routes Laughing Laughing

God, I seem to have so many, I know.... Rolling Eyes

Anyway, time for a few piccies.........

JOHN REACHES CLAY BANK TOP:

CLOSELY FOLLOWED BY GRANT:

Harry managed to put his training in the Alps to good use, passing me on Clay Bank even though I had quite good start Wink

The long descent from Clay Bank to Chop Gate was sweet today, and I think we managed to keep a good pace from there to Carlton top with Grant and John probably not expecting this little section to be quite as hilly.

Harry enjoyed a chase down here as single rider passed myself, Simon and Harry as we chatted. I tucked into the descent and hit the climb out passing the guy easily, who seemed to be struggling with the climb. I made the mistake of dropping too many gears to quickly Embarassed and was left to spin out of breath. Harry and the guy came past, and Harry chased him right down to Lordstones, with ease, well done Harry
Wink

JOHN AND GRANT CATCH US UP AFTER OUR CHASE.............

Fantastic bit of long downhill action followed as we rode down Carlton Bank and into Carlton. Simon was fantastically impressed with this bit of the ride and I can tell he is going to be out there again, going both up and down.

Annoyingly for the rest of us, I don't think he will have much of a problem riding up it........ Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes

But I don't think he'll ever get down it quicker than me Wink

Impressed with the fast pace we managed to push out from here through Hutton Rudby and back to Yarm.

This was a great ride, with good weather and again, great company. Nice to hear Harry's stories from the Alp rides also.

Next ride already being planned, bit flatter this time Smile
