DATE...............SUNDAY 21st SEPTEMBER

MEET................YARM STATION (on the B1264)

TIME ................0900 hours

DISTANCE.........30mile (approx)

TERRAIN............LEVEL/SMALL CLIMBS

PACE.................MODERATE 15-17m.p.h. avg.

MAP OF ROUTE CAN BE FOUND HERE:

www.bikehike.co.uk/mapview.php?id=1676

ROUTE; Leave Yarm Station and turn right onto B1264, turn right at roundabout and head for Kirklevington. At Kirklevington turn right and follow road to meet up with B1264 at Worsall Toll. Follow B1264 to turn off right for Deighton, Girsby, Dinsdale, Neasham, Hurworth and turn left onto the A167 at Croft. Follow A167 to Great Smeaton and turn left to go through Hornby, Appleton Wiske and Picton to turn left onto the A67 to take us back to Yarm Station.

I would estimate that this would take us just under or on the 2 hours mark going at our usual pace, the climbs on this route are relatively slight and by no means anything like the ride done on Sunday 14th Sept Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad

Hope you can make it Wink

Glad you made it Darren, it gave me a chance to hear some of Harry's stories from the Alps again. I particularly like the one about the guy who had the 9 punctures in 2 days and then had the bad crash on a descent and had to be cut out of his clothing Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad

Very good pace today, I averaged just under 18 m.p.h. by the time I got home with about 44 mile under my belt. Must admit that that headwind on the Northallerton road was a bit of bugger.

Will be looking forward to seeing the "new" MTB on the October Forum Ride as well by the way. Wink
