My shimano drivetrain on FS CUBE Stereo has been great.
However as with some old cassettes, shimano decided to make them in multiple parts (My old bike had 9-speed xt with alloy spider), which ...

Some of the ones around here I wouldn't trust to fill my water bottle!

I second that !

You gotta be careful, but you can cut it. Brand new skewers don't cost more than 15 quid, so this is not a ...

As far as i am aware there should be NO PLAY at all between the cogs, otherwise every single time you push on pedals, the cog hits the hub damaging it.

I don't know how it works on 11 speed, but on ...

IMHO it is better to invest in higher grade cassette as the price difference between Deore and Deore XT is not much. On XT you will have Alloy spider on 5-6 largest cogs compare to others, which are a ...

I had the same issue and in my case there were two options. Either way the pedals - bearings to be exact are clicking or Bottom Bracket itself, you can take it out and clean it or replace it.

I hav ...

Mine is horribly loud !! Even after a year of using.
It annoys the crap out of me. Why do you want them louder ?

Btw - you can open a hub and bend the four springs a little, so they go out from te ...

Apologies. Sometimes it is hard to explain.

It doesn't change frame geometry itself (frame is static)
But as you say it changes riding position, hence pressure is in different place, so overall ri ...

Little piece of advise

If your old stem was very long and it is changed to very short one, it actually might change your bike geometry a little.
Not much, but two things have to be considered.
1. ...

Maybe on a cassette, there is no much difference, but on a hub there is.
XT cassette has full alloy spider on 6 cogs, which prevents hub from being damaged. IMHO worth an upgrade

I had XT one on my bike and i didn't really see the difference.
TBH it is better to have smaller, more robust crank.
BTW - Where do you need that kind of power, turning MTB bike into a road one ?

I replaced my whole headset.
Bought FSA with sealed bearings (30 quid - not bad)

I would recommend replacing if you have too much rust. Turning won't be that smooth.
I noticed that you have semi- ...

I would drop from negative first (bottom).
Simply reverse process.

You pump positive first, so dropping will be negative first.
