27.5km = 17 miles, so I was pretty close with my estimate! There's a few Nova Scotia's around - I'm not sure why.......

Fremington Edge's contours are a bit close together! As I said, a nasty climb. If anyone can climb it non-stop without putting a foot down I'll buy them a pint. Possibly. There's also a short sharp road climb but other than that they're not too bad.

After consulting with a guy at work who rides in the dales a lot, the route's gonna change very slightly:

1) Loop up to Great Pinseat to be done clockwise rather than anti-clockwise;
2) After descent to Healaugh, head west on road for half a mile, cross river and head back east to Reeth off road on the south side of the Swale.

He may also be joining us so we'll have a good guide (though his riding will probably put us to shame).

Just a post as a reminder that this ride is still happening. How does meeting on the green in Reeth at 9am suit everyone?

Had been looking forward to this one, but I don't think the in-laws are going to be able to look after my lad, so decided to do something similar today on my own. Full write up here but suffice to say that now I'm even more gutted I won't be able to make next week Crying or Very sad

Really enjoyed the ride and the descent from Fell End Moor was great (just wish it was longer).

I need to get my Mrs to get a new job - her working Sunday lunch time is a P.I.T.A. as I can never do the rides I want Rolling Eyes

Hope the weather is nice for you as well - what I could make out of the views through the mist today looked great Smile

Slight change of time for this - me, Sean and Vern will be there for about 9.30am. Who else are we expecting?

I can't make it either Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad

Was looking forward to this, but I have jiggered my left hand today and am having great difficulty moving it, particularly my thumb, so gear changes are right out the window Embarassed Embarassed Embarassed
