Lovely day for a ride round Bedgebury...

Didn't quite end the way I intended though with a 1½mile walk back to the car. Sad

I think it's safe to say it's FUBAR'd

Ahh, nothing worse than the MTB walk of shame. Atleast there's an excuse with the morning after one. Here it's just a case of "Yeah, My bike's f***ed"

Luckily I was only 100m from the end of Starvegoose so it was a short walk back to the layby.

It jammed up earlier in the ride & the chain slipped off the lower jockey wheel, but managed to find the cause & fix it (loose dropout), then going up the last hill in Starvegoose about 100m from the end it just exploded...

Guessing metal fatigue from the previous jam weakened it.

A lot has changed in the last year, they've done a really good job lately. Enjoy.

Hate starvegoose I'm half done in by then haha (bonking+unfit) we normally do the new pointless the head to the free ride finishing with a few cake runs and that climb

Free ride area is no more I'm afraid.

On a good news note though, there's working going on in the first ½ of Starvegoose so there's a diversion in place around it
