And not the shoe type Wink

Cycle trainers ??.......in the December issue of MBR there was a brochure from LeisureLakes Bikes.com with some very good deals (carnt help myself) so.........

There is a minefield of choice..........whats good or bad and are they all suitable for use with a mountain bike.

well a think you'll have to put a slick tire on which you can get easily for a mountain bike, infact ive got a pair of continentils if your intrested Wink

im going to get rollers as there good for warming up at races and i like the fact that you have to concentrate to keep the bike upright, but allot of people go for turbo trainers, a remember gunner aying he got one cheap of ebat brand new

Can't get them much cheaper than here, I managed to pick one of these up for buttons, literally, the postage was more than what I paid for the trainer.

You'd want to put a slick tyre on though if your using a MTB.

Couple of things about trainers though..........

They can become INCREDIBLY BORING if your training is not focused and to a quite deliberate plan.

You are best using one in conjuction with some form of heart rate training measurement.

You will sweat like a pig, and more some, be prepared to do some damage to your bike frame if you don't look after it after using your turbo. You'd be amazed at the damage sweat can do.

Will you have the time to use one?

I'd recommend one of these over rollers marty, any day Wink

They fold up compact, have a variable resistance control, and are very, very sturdy in use.

Wink

I have a RollerTurbo by Tusk, no longer made. The forks lock on the front and away you go, I use mine for the road bike.
