Hi there,

Attached are images of my Specialized Status 2 Downhill bike. New to downhill biking and I know that some aspects of the bike aren't the best (like the front forks) but these will soon be replaced!

So far upgrades include:

Chromag Fubar handlebars
Lizardskin Peaty grips
Nukeproof plasma saddle.
DMR V8 Pedals
Hope Brakes with Hope Saw Rotors in red (203mm front, 185mm rear) - No recent pictures to show these!

Future upgrades to include:
New forks (don't know what to go for, looking for something reasonably priced with plenty of adjustment)
New pedals (Maybe Azonics in anodized blue...just something which will stand out really)
New rims (Was thinking about getting Halo SAS rims in anodized purple..think red might be too much).
Halo Supadrive rear hub.

Let me know what you all think, also when selling my current rockshox domain forks, what sort of price should I look at selling at? They are only rebound adjustable, but are in fantastic condition with no blemishes and are 2 months old with no downhill action whatsoever

That is a very tasty bike indeed. Reckon you'd be looking at about 250-300 for the forks seeing as they can be had new for 450. Pick up some Fox 40's as replacement Cool

Very nice! Try to pick up some Boxxers instead of F40s. On the Fox, due to the massive stanchions, there is more stiction than on the Boxxers.

Few upgrades since my last visit! I am now stuck on what grips to get however...my current ones are really grubby and have worn down a fair bit! Would you personally opt for the same grips but in black (Peaty grips) or the Sunline Big S in baby blue. I am really struggling! Please give me your opinions on my bike, still have to fit my new The Industries Downhill saddle in black, my ethirteen SS Chain guide and white bashguard. Also looking at forks this weekend (40s or boxxers are my 2 choices)

Looking good mate. I'd say Peaty grips or ODI Troy Lee. Very Happy

EDIT: There's no huge difference in the forks other than the price IMO, but you could get the standard Boxxers and then stick a AVY cartridge in them to have a far more superior fork (I don't actually know what it does but when I did my DH build I polled the 2 forks and the Boxxers won for that very reason). Very Happy
