Got this today for....10

Got 2 small cracks at the swingarm pivot points (common) getting them sorted or track down a good swingarm.

Will be sanding down, spraying then building up. Not going to go wild as im only doing light XC.

Total bargain. Very Happy

It will be very interesting to see how this project ends up as the "finished bike".

Right, ive sorted the swingarm, I originally asked the blokes at my work to weld the problem area which turned out to be more than a crack, the small lower pinch end broke off. They tried to MIG weld with aluminium rods but the job was too small and we only have big equipment.

So I tried this Durafix aluminium solder/brazing stuff. http://durafix.co.uk/
Wasnt expecting much and....was I proved wrong! It melts like solder and hardens solid. Had a trial go on a piece of aluminium and I couldnt break the weld. So I done the swingarm and its great, just needs tidying up then sanding ready for paint. I also replaced the pivot bearings with Timken bearings.

Just need to decide on what colour now Confused
