Wheels finally arrived

Got the rotors on

Got the chainline sorted
Got the chain on
Got the chain tugs on and rear wheel straight

All my tubes are schrader and the rims are drilled for presta!!!!

i never did get the presta or shreader thing. i am running presta cuz that is what the slime tubes came in, but for convienince Shreader with me working at a garage all our air line tire inflators are Shreader

just drill out the hole and put your Shreader valved tubes in

Drill through my brand new Hope Hoops ???? Shocked Shocked Shocked

To be honest, there doesn't seem to be a lot of width to do that anyway. They have a very narrow profile.

I thought they would be as least as wide as XC717's and thus have a larger diameter hole. However, their profile is very different and seems to lean toward tubeless conversion.

If I get on with this Single Speed thing - i'll probably look at tubeless in the long term, as the rear wheel is a bit of a faff to get on and off.

Will probably looking at converting the rear hub to a maxle at the same time ( it was nice to get conversion kits included with the wheels)

Every QR I have tried seems a little short - because of extra width caused by the chain tugs.

Yes Go for it. I had to drill mine when i did the tubeless thing. all the tubeless kits at that time were shreader. (I don't know what they are nower days) if you do go back to presta there is a little plastic ferule that you can fit. Wink
