Looks like when I snapped my rear hanger my mech bent also.

I am running a XTR but is there any much difference with XTR to XT, I am not that bothered in weight only performance.

What’s your thoughts?

Cheers

Greg

To be honest if you didn't know what mech was on the bike you couldn't tell when riding it. Get the XT and save a few quid.

Very little difference between XT and XTR Greg (apart from the price) both are highly rated pieces of kit....but I'll go with the flow and say XT and save a few quid.

As far as function goes, a brand new XT mech will be almost identical to the XTR. Where the benefit of XTR comes is its longevity and weight. It has 'fluorine-coated link pin bushings', a cold forged construction and the best sealed bearing jockey wheels around. This makes XTR super-tough.

If you can afford it, I'd go for the XTR. My XTR mech is 10 years old and still going strong! Very Happy
